Chapter 35. The CEO (1)
He had been standing here for a long time and felt he was about to have a mental breakdown if his boss did not stop investigating him. He did not want to reveal that he had a shady agreement with the owner of the construction company before signing the contract, as that may cost him his life remembering the dangerous man who owned the company. Therefore he lay all the blame on his assistant.
Zach sat quietly in a corner and yawned then looked up at the man who had been repeating the same thing for the umpteenth time. He would glare now and then at David, who was standing close to his brother, while slowly flipping through the huge stack of documents that was given to him by his brother.
Carl narrowed his eyes and studied the man in front of him. He gave him a chance to confess but the dumb man kept lying through his teeth by putting all the blame on his innocent assistant. He had finally reached his limit and he turned to his assistant and said, “The contract.”
