Chapter 64. Engagement

Clara flinched at his sudden outburst and her expression turned gloomy. “But…” she looked up but stopped mid-sentence after seeing his expression turning darker.

She slowly walked back toward the couch and removed the coat then carefully folded it inside her bag. ‘Hmph, why is he acting like that? Is he on his period’? She sat down quietly while adjusting her skirt then started memorizing the contract.

Carl was still controlling his anger while wondering whose coat she was wearing when his eyes suddenly widened.

He stared at the fitted blouse she was wearing which hugged her figure tightly exposing a little bit of her cleavage which made him gulp uncontrollably and quickly averted his eyes then his gaze landed on her slender legs and he noticed the skirt was only an inch below her hips.

His thoughts run wild and he quickly looked down at the documents but found himself glancing up at her now and then.
