Not knowing what to say because she can’t tell if Lucien likes her or not she becomes glum.
Why would he when all he has gotten from her is curses and hate? As she begins recalling the way she has been treating him in the past she can’t help the drops of tears that begin dripping down her cheeks.
How would he like her to talk more of love her after all she has done? The thought alone pricks her heart and renders her speechless.
