An irresistible offer

I was at the restaurant a few days after my fainting experience. My pregnancy was almost two months old now. I had decided against telling Rita about my pregnancy for the time being. I hadn't fully accepted the news yet and I was ashamed and somewhat bothered about revealing to people that I was a pregnant 18 year old.

My boss had been kind enough to give me two days off after revealing to her that stress made me collapse on that very day. She had even visited with Rita bringing along fruits and beverages which I had least expected from her.

I saw her as a very harsh woman who was blunt with her words. I had seen the two days off as surprising but still normal but the visitation and provisions were quite alarming. I hadn't expected it at all.
