When they agreed, they were back in the carriage in no time, although the two riders kept to themselves primarily, Malania realized, although they did not do so in an unfriendly way. Malania didn't mind, for the carriage was noisy enough that it was difficult to converse.
As things stood, she was not dissatisfied with the situation. She and Demitri rode together at a short distance from the carriage, close enough to intervene if something bad occurred but far enough away that they could hear one another chat.
