When that whirlwind of a kiss ended, they gazed into each other's eyes. Standing in a bedroom, Andrew took a glass of blood and gave it to Diana. Both covered in silk and satin, it was a chamber worthy of a king and a queen. The chamber’s highlight was the canopy bed, a victory of carpentry vast enough to comfortably fit six people. Its four wooden posts were as thick as tree trunks and embroidered with etchings of werewolf creatures. An elegant silver curtain was drawn up over the sides. A footstool with matching silver fabric sat under the windows.
“You shouldn’t be thinking about the furniture, Diana,” Andrew chided her softly after the kiss. At the end of the day, she wasn't expecting much from Andrew, as the man seemed to not discuss their mating bond at any moment. Not that she couldn't wait for it, but she was disappointed, and her disappointment was too clear, just like the afternoon sun
