Chapter 318. Alpha's Decision

He found Adam's room and entered through the window, after checking that there was no one else there. That's what he thought at first, but after a while, he realized that there was a man sitting inside, in a chair, with a serious look on his face, and as soon as he entered, the man stared at him in astonishment, but then seemed to remember, and went back to his frown. Maxwell didn't know it, but he had just met Caricature. He was pleased to hear that they were looking after Adam's safety.

  He approached the bed, and Adam looked at him with confusion in his eyes. Maxwell sat down in a chair by his bedside and let him recognize him first.

 “Have you come to kill me, Max?” He asked debauched. “You should have the decency to wear your own clothes for that.”

  Maxwell smiled amusedly.

 “I see you're all right.” Maxwell took Adam's hand and held it tightly. “You were always good when you wanted to scare me, but I think this time you overdid it
