Clothes were put on, a large table was set, and with servants on all sides, the queen faced the three with a judgmental look, but at least now seemed satisfied to see them separated. Each in a chair, with clothes properly fastened and hair arranged.
"Seeing you like this, it doesn't even seem like you were in the middle of a, uh, somewhat... 'Private' meeting," the elderly woman said, opening her fan in front of her face.
The archduke's mouth opened to protest, but at that moment he knew it was no use—even if he begged the heavens and said a thousand times that it wasn't what it seemed, the queen wouldn't believe him, and in the end—Cale didn't even care anymore.
