Laura had no idea why she felt the urge to run after Adam. It wasn’t even like they were friends or anything.

“Adam,” she called as the young man stopped and turned to face her. His eyes were already green, and she could see his fangs coming out of his teeth and his claws growing gradually. “Adam,” Laura called again as she moved closer to him.

“Get away from me, Laura,” Adam growled.

“I can help you,” she said. She moved closer to him and stopped when she was a few meters away from him.
