Chapter 10. What Have I Done?

"Oh, what have I done? What have I done?" The litany repeated itself in Marissa's mind as she rushed to the lady's powder room, ignoring the curious gazes that turned her way. It seemed she vaguely heard her name being called, but she couldn't be so sure as there seemed to be a ringing sound in her ear that signaled the beginning of a full-blown headache. She blindly pushed at one of the stall's doors the moment she got there.

"Hey, someone is in here," a voice called out.
