Carla suddenly showed an angry expression towards Jonathan and rushed into Adela's arms, crying loudly.

Tears welled up in Adela's eyes, but she comforted Carla: “Carla, stop crying, let's go home... Let's leave."

Then, she looked at Jonathan disappointedly and prepared to leave with Carla in her arms.

"Adela, Adela, she is not my girlfriend. I'm telling you the truth!"

Jonathan hastily stood up, intending to pull Adela back, but her faith in what she had witnessed was more substantial, so she pushed him away and burst into tears. Holding Carla, she flagged down a taxi by the roadside. Once they boarded the cab, she urged the driver to drive off immediately.

The taxi disappeared into the distance.

Jonathan, fuming angrily, turned and stared at Almira: “What exactly are you up to?"
