He came here because Carla didn't like what had happened to her friend Neala.

Other things have nothing to do with him!

Going down to the first floor, Edward immediately ran to ask: "What, can't Jonathan Wang cure Mrs. Neala's illness? I told you, he can't..."

Devlin really can't hear anymore. He kicks Edward hard and falls over.

"Mr. Devlin, why did you do that?" Edward panicked.

"Why would I do that? If it weren't for Mr. Wang, would you believe I would have drowned you in the river by now?" Devlin said indignantly.

The landlord is Kane Thomas said nothing. He implicitly authorized Devlin's actions.

Kane Thomas didn't even look up to Roger that day because had to have Carla' marrow transplant for Neala. That alone is enough to prove how much he loves his granddaughter.

Just because he don't says, doesn't mean he's not angry.
