Chapter 61

*** Phil & Solana ***

Phil's eyes scanned the restaurant as he entered. The place was fuller than he expected despite the fact that the driveway is not crowded.

"Oh, I'm sorry sir, we are full for now. If you could wait for another fifteen minutes..."

Phil zoned out from the waitress talking to him when he spotted them.

Solana, smiling as she lifted her glass to drink from it. A powerful urge to quickly turn around and hide before she saw him took over. Suddenly, he was unwilling to let her see him.

"Saturdays are often very busy. That's why we encourage customers to make reservations..." The waitress was still talking.

"Young Gonza." A familiar voice called him.

When he looked, it was Mr. North, his father's friend. The older man approached him with a surprise, but welcoming smile. Phil wished he could disappear. This was the last thing he wanted. And this man was the chatty type.

"Good day, sir." He tried to smile.
