Chapter 26

BELLA

People spend their entire lives on Earth committing crimes, hideous ones. Yet, they never saw the devil. But I had. Not only one, but two. No one told me the devil had a brother, one who was as dark as him. Their handsome faces were so beautiful, they masked perfectly the darkness always swirling in their gazes. 

Last night was the worst. Out of everything they had ever put me through, their punishment was something I never wanted to go through again. 

If staying away from other men was what they needed, I wouldn't mind doing that for my sanity. 

I tried to walk normally, awkwardly smiling at the security man by the door, who was looking at me funnily.
