Chapter 115. Occupied with Thoughts of You

Wayne took her to the Seaside Restaurant where he had already booked a table for them as soon as she agreed on going out with him.

They ordered and as they started eating, Alexa said, “This is delicious!”

“Everything they serve is always delicious,” he said, smiling indulgently at her.

“One would think you own the restaurant the way you are advertising their meal!” Alexa teased, then noticed that he was not eating but merely pushing the food around in his plate.

She had also noticed that he was staring at her whenever he thought she wasn’t watching but she had known. She didn’t know how but she just did.

“Wayne?” she started.

“Yes, Alexa?” he answered, putting down the cutlery and folding his arm on the table, giving her his full attention.

“If the food is as good as you are saying, why aren’t you eating?” she asked, narrowing her eyes on him.

“It’s nothing. Just thinking!” he replied, smiling but it was obvious it was forced.
