I am staring at Yuval's mother in disbelief.

“Oriya, are you sure? Do you understand the impact of your words?” I whispered in a total state of shock.

What the woman said here took me by surprise. I had never considered investigating the abduction of the firstborn as early as in the maternity ward. I recall that Oriya and Doron were the last ones present in the maternity ward in Eclipse Howl. The switch and the theft of the pup must have happened while we all took care of the twins, with Doron handling the afterbirth.

Oriya is the most valuable witness who can prove that the firstborn in the Palace truly belongs to Cissy's. In the Kingdom, Doron had confessed to me that she was forced by Xanne, but I had my doubts about whether she could be considered trustworthy to substantiate my suspicions before third parties. She had already proven herself to be unreliable. Hence, any statement from her mouth would be further dismissed.
