Love POV

“What is it?” he asked. The servant came and silently took the kids to the kitchen, leaving us to talk. Ellis sat on the couch and put me between his legs. He placed a gentle kiss on my shoulder. I freaking blushed when he did that. Luis musked his smirk. I could tell he had a lot to say about the display of affection.

“You are not going to like it,”

“That bad?”

“Charlotte is a Fox,” Luis said. Ellis squinted his eyes, confused.

“Um, okay?”

“As in, Fox shifter, Ellis,” I told him. I saw the frozen expression on his face, and it changed into shock. He was silent for a moment and asked,

“How?”

“She lied. She made herself smell like a werewolf by using dark magic,”

Ellis didn’t know what to say to this. However, he was angry. I got off him and sat next to him. I took his hand in mine. It was my turn to ask,

“Are you alright?” he gave me a small smile and nodded.

“I’m just angry to have fallen for her lie.
