He had missed his shift at a convenience store, to avoid a run-in with the devil.
“Why did they show up here?” He frowned.
The reason he chose this city as a good hiding place was because of how far it was from the country Osy resides. And not only that, but this was one of the least popular countries.
Kon glanced at the door to the eatery any time he heard a sound from there. He was jumpy, and his palms were sweaty.
“You look a bit apprehensive tonight. What's wrong?” The nosy female worker folded her arms. “Don't tell me you are hiding from another admirer.”
“If only it was as easy as that, Mary," Kon sighed.
If only it was something as simple as evading his admirers, he wouldn't lose sleep over it.
