Chapter 149

As Liam approached, the two pretty waitresses at the entrance quickly greeted him.

Liam nodded and then instructed, "Let the bar know that tonight’s bill is on me."

Even though Cole was hosting, as the general manager, Liam felt it was only right to extend some hospitality.

The private room was still empty, so Liam sat down and waited.

About ten minutes later, someone walked in.

As soon as they saw Liam, they sneered sarcastically, "Well, if it isn’t Liam the ex-con. Looks like you’ve fallen on hard times, showing up just to mooch a free meal, huh?"

The man who appeared looked to be in his forties, dressed in a suit, and quite tall, but his features were somewhat rodent-like, with a narrow face and beady eyes. He was currently looking at Liam with a mocking expression.

"Mickey, it’s not your treat, so what business is it of yours if I’m here for a free meal?" Liam responded coolly, his tone equally unfriendly.
