The shop owner shook his head as he spoke.
Hearing how resolute and sincere he was, Liam didn’t insist any further. After thanking him again, he accepted the gift.
If Lawrence Miller couldn’t identify the item’s origin either, it would simply serve as an ordinary gift.
But if he could, and it turned out to be valuable, Liam could always come back later and pay the shop owner for it.
After checking the time, Liam realized it was getting late, so he didn’t stay much longer. He said his goodbyes and left.
