"Mr. Driscoll, do you believe that Luke was murdered?"
Liam's gaze sharpened instantly.
Though he was accustomed to Phineas’s shocking statements, hearing him say such a thing so openly still startled Liam.
"Heh, don’t you think so, Boss Liam?"
Phineas smiled faintly, as if he could see right through Liam.
Liam smiled wryly. "I’ve had my suspicions, but I’m not as certain as you are, Mr. Driscoll..."
Indeed, Liam had always felt that something was off about Luke’s death—there were too many things that didn’t make sense. But suspicions were just that—suspicions. He had no solid evidence to back them up.
But for Phineas to confidently declare that Luke had been murdered, and even suggest that Harris, the eldest daughter of the Brown family, was the culprit, left Liam shocked.
