Book 1: Zephyrus Is Mad at Me

Lena’s POV

“What the f*ck? He’s a criminal!” exclaimed Leandros, punching the table furiously.

“I don’t believe him. Unless I hear it from Hera, I won’t accept this at all!” said Zephyrus, his face contorted into an angry scowl.

“I didn’t see her here. He just gave me five minutes of his time.” I had noticed Zephyrus’ foul mood ever since we left the apartment. He was so unpredictable, I had no idea what I did now. Was he upset with me or with his situation? There was no way to know!

“Let’s stalk him after office hours. I’m sure he’ll lead us to Hera,” suggested Leandros.

“That’s a good idea.”

“Do you need a drink?” asked Zephyrus. How did he know what I needed? Leandros ordered drinks for all of us.

“So tell me everything that happened inside.” Zephyrus’ tone was solemn as he addressed me, but I was in a dilemma. Should I inform him about my parents? I chose not to. I had to seek Cassie first and find out the details.
