Chapter 101

Danica's POV 

It's been two days since the last surgery that broke the record of me being the other workers’ definition of a “perfect” Doctor and so far things had changed.

Now it almost felt like I was the first doctor to ever lose a patient during surgery. The whispers around me grew bolder with each passing day. Visible disrespect joined the trend.

Barely anyone looked at me the same way they once looked at me when I became the official head doctor and I have put up with it for two days because I still couldn't shake off the guilt. If only they knew how hard I'm trying to stay calm and unaffected.

“Don't tell me you've been putting up with this for the past two days, Danica” Bianca asked as she grabbed a seat in front of my desk while Anabel shut the door behind them before taking the seat next to Bianca.
