The orange light shining through the window and the chirping of birds as they sang heartily was the only thing I could hear. The door swung open as Ray's mother walked inside, she moved close to me before removing the handcuffs from my grip. “I’m not trying to hold you hostage, my child, I just want you to realize how bad that pack is, they have been our mortal enemy for a long time because they have killed so many people, including your parents.” she muttered, even in my weak state, I wanted to know more of why Kai’s pack would kill my parents.
“The witch is here, she can take you through the past,” she muttered. The door to the room plunged open as a woman entered the room before urging Kai’s mother to excuse her.
