Chapter 53. Answers

We stay with Esis and Magda for about another hour, the atmosphere is much better now.

I feel Esis' anxious glances at me a few times, but I ignore him. He won't be able to help me dig into my past, from his stories, I understand that he hasn't known me very long before the accident. Ralph introduced me to him as his fiancé, so he doesn't know Rain.

When we finally say goodbye, I assure everyone that we will get back together when the baby is born. Or maybe even sooner, when there is any good news from the newlywed side. Magda blushed like a beet at my words, if it is up to Esis, that announcement will come sooner than later.

He clearly adores Magda, but has not yet revealed to her his true nature. I foresee problems now that he is putting off every time. He is probably afraid of his mate's reaction but will have to bite the bullet. As the Alpha of a pack, he can only live in Human Town for a short time. Eventually, he'll have to go back to Midnight Moon.
