Chapter 99. Ralph Is Suspicious

Rain’s POV again

"Do you trust me, Saray?" Magda asked.

I stare at her, this is not the answer I expected.

My heart almost beat out of my chest, I was looking forward to so much more from her. Disappointed, I bowed my head. For days I waited, hoping everything she was about to tell me would bring back my memory.

"Saray, don't give up. I can assure you that your past will soon become clear. But it is too drastic to tell you all in this state," Magda urged, turning my face to her.

"Trust me, Saray, please. You will come to terms with your past. I promise you that," she guarantees me softly. I swallow away my disappointment.

"Why don't you just tell me everything? This emptiness is driving me crazy. I need to know who I am so I can move on with my life, make the right decisions, Magda," I declare emotionally. "In a few months, I will be responsible for two pups. I can't even tell them who their mother is".
