Chapter 39
The sun was trying to penetrate through the thick, expensive curtains hanging richly all the way down the french windows, touching the carpeted floor.
The warmth was spreading all through his face, then it was moving lazily down his limbs.
Mike exhaled slowly, trying to make himself open his eyes and remind his brain that it was a day already. Quite a bright one at that.
Then his brain finally managed to pierce through the haze of the sleep and help him realize that in fact, he was way too comfortable when his wolf stirred and he knew he was surrounded by the scent of his mate.
Mike’s eyes snapped open and he sprang instantly to a sitting position. Killian’s scent.
Mike took a look around, his heart beating so loud he was hearing it in his ears and his throat.
