Chapter 258

“Whoa...you have got to be kidding me.” Iris says and I ask her, “What? What?”

“Look over there.” She points to a white round middle-aged man on the check-in line.

“Yeah, who am I looking at?” I ask her and she says, “That’s Benjamin, Davina’s father.”

What?

“I thought he should be in France already.” I say and Iris replies, “Yeah, that’s what I thought too.”

“I’m going to go talk to him.” She says as she stands, but I hold her hand.

“Not now,” I say and she stares at me for a second, and she sits back down.

Soon we board the plane and we are on our way to Paris, France.

“Here’s to new beginnings,” Iris says with a smile as she clinks her champagne glass with mine.

“New beginnings,” I say before I sip some of the sparkling liquid.

We were served by the flight attendant a while ago. I see no sign of Benjamin, he must be in a different cabin.

“So what are your plans?” Iris asks me after a while in the air
