Chapter 89. Forgiveness
A few weeks after the heartwarming beach proposal, the warm breeze of a sunny afternoon found Mika, Sam, and Axel gathered in the backyard of their home. Laughter filled the air as Axel played with his favorite toy, his infectious joy a reflection of the happiness that had enveloped their family.
Mika sat on a cozy bench; her fingers intertwined with Sam's. They watched Axel with a sense of contentment, their hearts brimming with gratitude for the journey they had embarked on together.
They were having a hard time when Sam’s phone rang and it was coming from Mary. They both exchanged a knowing look. “What does she want Sam?” she asked him.
“I don’t know either.”
Sam answered and Mary takes a deep breath before speaking. “Sam,” she began and her voice seems a bit trembling. “I wanted to be honest with you,” she continued.
“What do you mean?”
“Can we meet? The three of us. You, Mika and me.”
