Kalla's POV

"A slave? I never thought slaves in Lodoss would be so nice. Someday I will invite myself into your empire." I didn't answer him.

"How about King Thaddeus? How do you know a slave is the king? You even risked your own life just to reach the hill. Do you have an affa—" His eyes narrowed at me.

I know what he's thinking!

"You are thinking wrong, dear prince! He was like a father."

"King Thaddeus was a known womanizer back then; he had never met Queen Talisha, so many women had been linked to her, princess or not. I wonder if his faithfulness was enough for the long years, having this issue with his death."

King Thaddeus gave me all his kindness, and I feel a great hatred while hearing these words for him.

I have heard this story many times from his family and from his queen. He's a good king and a faithful one.

"It was his first love; King Gazellian has no betrayal. He's faithful, and he loves Queen Talisha very much. And if
