Chapter 59

Bree drove the car towards where Megan was standing, waiting to cross the road, and stopped.

"Do you need a lift?" Bree asked.

Megan saw that it was the detectives from the morning, she had wanted to scoff, she wondered what brought them back to the school. She was confident that what she told them would keep them away for a while. The other private detectives did not trouble her like this. However, to keep up the front, she smiled.

"Where do you live?" Andrea asked.

"A few blocks away, just ahead" she informed them as she sat down comfortably in the backseat of the car. The feel of the leather and the smell of the car made her wonder if the Police department were so wealthy they could even afford such an expensive car.

"We met up with Edwin," Andrea said after Bree started to drive away from the school. As she said it, Andrea had her eyes glued to Megan so that she wouldn't miss any possible reactions.
