Chapter 118. Snapped

Lance sat in his office, swirling a pen in between his fingers while his eyes stayed glued on the paper he had in front of him. He was reviewing a series of papers of branches managed by Christopher, going back to the oldest ones and reading them for what seemed to be the fiftieth time. Yet, he couldn’t seem to understand why things looked like funds were missing or rather being diverted from the company’s main account.

The male’s thoughts were interrupted by the dinging sound of his phone, signaling a message had entered. He reached forward, momentarily placing the pen down as he grabbed his phone and unlocked the message. Almost immediately, a smile painted his face.

He glanced at the time and scoffed. It was 10:45 am and this was when she was getting up? How in the world did she manage to sleep that long when she had a company to run? He rolled his eyes, moving his fingers to reply.
