Chapter 23. His Jealousy: His Confession

Contrary to Lance’s usual untamed and nerve racking attitude and Roxanne’s earlier belief, dinner has progressed rather smoothly.

Lance behaved more normal than Roxanne had ever witnessed, smiling and conversing politely with the members of her family and even going as far as offering her grandmother a surprise gift. To say the elderly woman was pleased would be an understatement. She stared at the expensive bottle of antic wine with a glint in her eyes that told Roxanne that the woman truly appreciated uncalled for effort. Even Her grandfather was impressed by him as they chatted all about cars and stock market half way throughout desert and ended up laughing to jokes that no one else at the table knew.

Seeing this new side of Lance totally scrambled Roxanne brain’s way of functioning. At some point, the blonde had stared at him with a spoonful of food paused mid movement as she was awe struck and confused at the same time.
