Chapter 34. Poor Simoune
SIMOUNE
I didn’t see Vince when I woke up. I stood up and started looking for him. I saw him speaking to someone outside.
“Whom are you talking to, love?” I asked.
The call was abruptly cut off.
“Just an urgent matter, love,” Vince said.
“Oh, did you find a signal?” I asked.
“Yes, love, but it is still too weak,” Vince said.
“Who were you talking to?” I asked.
“My dad, love, but it’s all right,” Vince said.
“Ah, I see. I hope to speak with him next time,” I said.
“Yes, love, you can talk to him next time,” Vince said. “Have you eaten anything yet?”
“No, not yet,” I said.
“I’ll cook so we can eat. Let’s go inside,” Vince said.
“Okay,” I said.
We immediately headed to the kitchen.
“Are we going surfing today, love?” Vince asked.
“Yes, love, let’s go after we eat,” I said.
I’m hoping to speak with Vince’s father so that we can be in the clear with him. I’m eager to go surfing right now
