Chapter 298. Revenge: Jacob and His Job

Nate’s heart thumped in his chest as the realization set in. “We should leave now,” He said in a firm tone as he headed towards the door. 

Mr. Thorn and Vanessa did not argue about this. They followed the alpha out of the house and they were on their way in no time. The sun was now in the sky, giving off its warmth and brilliance. 

They made their way through the woods and in about ten minutes, they found themselves on the main road. 

As for Jacob, the guy had just come from a run and was breathing heavily as he walked into his house. His clothes were slightly drenched with sweat and he felt hot. He closed the door once he was in and went straight for the kitchen.

His parents were not home so that meant that he was home alone. He opened one of the cabinets and pulled out a glass before placing it under the faucet. When he had filled it with water, he drank the entire thing down in no time.
