“Badum, badum, badum, badum,” his heart couldn’t stop racing and pounding like a restless child. 

That would be a tremendous lie if he said he had entirely forgotten about her. He had been pursuing the young lady he was currently looking at, for months before eventually winning her over. 

Memories flooded his mind as he reflected on how wonderful his life was when he was with her. Even though they didn’t have anything, they coexisted peacefully. There was never a significant fight between the two of them unless his family was involved. 

She was the epitome of a decent housewife and girlfriend. She was never upset about anything. She would get up before him every morning and make breakfast and lunch for him.
