Chapter 106. Confident

I halted in front of the door. I took a deep breath and controlled my nerve as I gripped the door handle. When I opened it, everyone almost looked at me at the same time.

My eyes darted to Hezekiah who’s sitting comfortable at the center seat. On his right was Zuay beside Tawin.

“Meredith! What a surprise!” Zuay and Tawin stood up and kissed my cheek.

“Did the meeting started?” I said cooly.

“Not yet, we have a lot to talk about after this, huh?” Zuay whispered to me before they went back to their seats.

I walked and sat in front of Zuay while Hezekiah was on my right side.

I can feel his stares boring onto me although I wasn’t looking at him. So I tried my best to smile at everyone and didn’t spare him a glance.
