Everett’s POV
When I was nine years old, my mom and dad quarreled daily and constantly. They were at the verge of filing for a divorce because the marriage wasn’t working out. Dad had mistresses and hardly cared about mom. Whoever said happily ever after existed is a bloody liar. Because this is reality. It was one of the traumatic experience of my life. It was a very painful moment.
And at ten, it started innocently enough during summer. Mom complained of rapid headache daily and she was late diagnosed of brain tumor. She was dying physically, I was dying emotionally. I could feel the pains too. Death was written everywhere and I had scary nightmares to back it up. It was a ginormous predicament. She was later flown to India for surgery.
