The Oakwood table was gone. In its place was a well-built beechwood table, not as big, but doing the job just fine.

Dom sat at the head of the table, and the rest of the family members took their places just like they had on the night Iris had her first dinner with them. Elijah took Iris’ seat in the meantime.
