Chapter 50. Betrayal
"Fuck!" Cinnia swore. Elijah had seen her and so had Denzel. There was a loud bang and a crash that shook her to her core. Despite the anger and resentment she harbored for Denzel, she still prayed in her heart that he was alright and that the jolting sounds she had heard were nothing.
She lashed out at the invisible hand that gripped her wrist tightly to the point where she lost all sensation to her fingers. Panic hurtled through her entire being before settling in her chest and squeezing her heart painfully till she almost dropped to the ground. It wasn't that she was being held against her wishes in the darkness where she could not even make out the outline of her hands without squinting that made her shrink from fear, rather it was scarier that she couldn't see who it was that had her in their grasp.
