“Are you sure you want me to stay here in Mendez tonight, Alpha Virgil?” the extremely uneasy pilot/bodyguard asked his caller and superior repeatedly while he temporarily stepped out of the mansion’s full dining room.

It was still crowded in there, despite Jack’s quick arrival and departure with his sister and her two kids. But they did manage to carry back to their childhood house the half-eaten three-layered chocolate fudge cake. It had fluffy mini-mallows and crushed various nuts mixed into the sticky bread portions, which was Jack’s ordered cake. It was quite surprising and impressive that two adult Schneider siblings were able to bring it with them despite having no box that could fit the humongous confection and having two rambunctious and overactive pre-school-aged children happily running and skipping beside them.

This is why Antoine needed the change of location to talk to his superior, and he chose to make his call standing alone on the Oro Villa mansion’s porch.
