Chapter 124
They pushed her into the room, and she fell to the floor. Hearing them bang the door shut, she began to tremble. She sat on the floor, looking around the room for any way to flee, even when she knew there would be none.
The window was airtight, and even though it wasn't, would she jump down thousands of feet to flee from him? Yes, she would without thinking twice about it.
She turned to the door to see a man holding a phone to his ear. He was the one who had caught her on the verge of fleeing from them; she had given them quite a chase, making turns every second, so they had lost track of her.
But there was only one of her and tens of them.
"Boss, we got her."
Her chest tightened; Zayne was coming; she was dead, and there were no two ways about it.
She thought of pleading with the goon, but she knew it would be a waste of the strength she was trying to save.
He turned and left the room, leaving her alone in the emptiness and terror.
