Chapter 11
I was squatting to take out books from my locker when I heard someone's voice.
"Heyy Julie."
I looked up, and it was Casey. She squatted next to me, but I got up. I didn't want her company.
"So..." She trailed off as she got up, too.
"Casey, stop." I thought I should stop her before she assumed I was accepting her friendship. "Look, I know you've been nice to me, but I don't... I'm not into friendships." I said to her as simple as I could.
"Oh." She looked at me, confused.
"Yeah." I nodded. "But we can still talk once in a while, I mean, we are sitting next to each other in class, we have to," I tried to soften my rejection.
"Okay." She just said, smiling dryly, till she left.
"Heyy." I heard someone behind me. I turned to see who it was, and it was Kim, the boy whose basement we had hung out in the other day.
