Caradoc was the first to speak: "Your behavior is not reliable. What good can come out of you rooming with Hubert? Hubert, don’t let Gideon tempt you."

Hubert chuckled. He wouldn’t want to share a room with Gideon even if paid. He subtly glanced at Jacob, but remembering how he had treated him these past few days, he reconsidered. What about rooming with Canis? But his brother snored loudly at night, preventing him from sleeping. Thus, he decisively turned to Winston.

"Can I share a room with you?"

"No way!"

Jacob objected again.

Hubert looked at him, his words carrying a hint of provocation: "Jacob, it seems like you’re meddling too much. Who I share a room with is none of your business, is it?"

"Hubert! You…!"

"What?"

After that, Hubert turned to Winston: "What about it? Are you refusing to room with me?"
