“And why are you avoiding me?” I ask, settling on the empty spot next to her. 

Aurora instantly moves aside, putting more space between us. “I'm not.”

“Okay then, go with me on a trip.” I urge, my proposal leaving her wide eyed.

“I need to travel for work and it would be great if you came with me, I could use a distraction when I'm not working.” I tell her, to which she says nothing but stare blankly at me. I know she's not amused and it's a long shot but at this point, I'll try anything.
