When I meet her gaze again, it drops, not before I note how it dilates when she peers up at me, and I know she too is taken aback to last night. I lift her chin up, meeting her flustered gaze I whisper, “Say it.”
In response she swallows, lips parting and I infer she's about to utter anything but truth. “I will never..” she pauses, “Never, love you again.”
“Your lies are beating sweetheart.” I frown, lowering my lips to hers. I place a gentle kiss on her lips, pulling away with a dark grin, my thumb brushes her lip, basking in the way her body reacts to me, and the way her heart beats so fast with her lie.
