Chapter 30

I smile, following her lead into what appears to be the kitchen, normal sized in my opinion, but there are many people in here too. Most heading outside with bottles and glasses. Emelia guides me to the rotating bar, I don’t need to see it actually rotate to know it does. Pointing me to a bar stool, she calls out to the girl mixing drinks on the other end who nods and lifts two fingers, to which Emelia groans, grabbing a stool next to me.

  “So..” I trail off, my gaze now roaming the room. “This is how you spend Friday morning?” I joke.

   “No,” she snorts out a laugh. “This is my brother's friend's place. My brother's wife..” she pauses, waving over my shoulder with a smile.

   “The model?”

  “Yes, that one. She's having some launch party and they needed a last minute venue to bring their party or something so Cass was nice enough to let them use this place. He just finished it recently, pretty neat huh?”
