I shrug, “Well he knows half of it..” I trail off. Pausing to take my drink from the bartender. “I did leave him,” I tell her, circling the base of the cup. “I was flirtatious with every man, unintentionally and I still am, isn't that why I'm Fantasy Elite's favorite weapon of seduction?”

“Aurora, you can't..”

I shake my head. “You know why I signed the contract?”

“Because he kidnapped you?”

“No,” I laugh. “Because maybe, just maybe this is what we both need. Maybe hurting me will give him the closure he needs and me the lift of guilt that burns in my bones. There must be a reason why he's shown up now that I'm what, a year closer to quitting this disservice life? Yeah, maybe.”

  Emelia shakes her head, “Seems you are set on this but I don't think it's good. Old flames can burn you Aurora, and you my dear are very flammable.” she tells me, sipping her drink. “I hate this guy, ” she snarls. “If he loved you, he wouldn't be doing this to you, he would be ha
