That startles her daughter into more crying but she blames it on her sister who storms away in a fit.
It doesn't take long for Aurora to pacify the child, by the time I'm driving off she's no longer crying, and solely resting on her chest. I still plan on taking her out for breakfast, only now I'm considering more child friendly options.
“What's her name?” I ask, acting in utter oblivion when I've stalked her Instagram and know it already.
Aurora places a kiss on top of the child's head and caresses her back. “Layla.” she whispers.
“Just so you know, you're not a terrible parent, look how relaxed she is with you. She instantly fell asleep and quiet in your arms because she knows she's safe, children know these things. You are a good mother, Aurora.”
