Finally, Sarah seemed to hear Charles’s voice and turned to him and cried out, “Charles!”

Charles gritted his teeth and tried to bring the mad horse to a stop. He finally was able to reach over and grab the reins and started to control the horse.

Charles was an experienced rider, with more than a decade of horse riding since high school. He thought he had good equestrian skills. Once he had control of the reins, he knew he could control the horse enough to keep Sarah safe, even if the horse was scared.
